Connect Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to add attendees as subscribers and tag them when they register, show up, reach a watch milestone or click your offer. In Kit, those tags can start sequences and segment your list, so someone who watched 75% can get a different follow-up from someone who left early.
Get your API key from Kit
You need a V4 API key. Older Kit API keys and API secrets won’t work.
- In Kit, open your account settings and choose Developer.
- Click Add a new key, and give it a name you’ll recognise, such as
FullHouse. - Copy the key. Kit only shows it once. If you lose it, you’ll need to create or reset a key, then update it in FullHouse.
Connect Kit to FullHouse
Add the key
Go to Workspace → Integrations, find Kit and click Connect. Paste the key into API key and click Connect. The key is stored encrypted and never shown again.
Test it
Click Test connection. The card should say “Connection verified”. If it doesn’t, see Fix connection problems.
Bring your tags over
Click Sync tags. The card shows how many tags were copied. FullHouse loads up to 1,000 tags.
Create your tags in Kit
You can’t create Kit tags from FullHouse. Decide what you want to know about attendees, create those tags in Kit, then click Sync tags. For example:
| Tag | Rule |
|---|---|
Webinar registered |
Registers |
Webinar attended |
Joins the live room |
Webinar hot |
Watches at least… 50% of the webinar |
Offer clicked |
Clicks the offer |
Replay viewed |
Opens the replay |
Then build Kit automations that start from these tags.
Add a rule to a webinar
Open the Automations step
Go to Webinars → your webinar → Automations and click Add automation.
Choose the trigger
Pick an action under When an attendee…. For Watches at least…, also choose a percentage.
Choose Kit and your tags
Under Send to, choose Kit. Tick up to 20 tags under Apply tags. Click Refresh tags if a new tag is missing. You must choose at least one.
Save
Leave Active on and click Add automation.
See Automations for more about rules.
What FullHouse sends to Kit
When a rule fires, FullHouse does two things, once per person per rule:
- Creates or updates the subscriber with their email address and first name. Kit doesn’t get their last name, phone number or answers to custom questions.
- Adds each tag you chose.
FullHouse can only add tags. It can’t remove them or add someone directly to a sequence, so use a tag to start a Kit automation.
Test the whole flow
- Make a rule with the Registers trigger.
- Register for your webinar using an email address you can check.
- In Kit, search for that subscriber and look for the tag. It normally arrives within moments.
Each rule fires once per person, so use a new email address, such as [email protected], for each test.
Fix connection problems
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Integration returned HTTP 401. | The key is wrong, or it’s an older-style key. Create a V4 key and click Update credentials. |
| No tags cached yet — hit “Refresh tags” to pull them from Kit. | Click Refresh tags, or create a tag in Kit first. |
| Kit isn’t offered under Send to | It isn’t connected. Connect it under Workspace → Integrations. |
| Choose between 1 and 20 tags. | A rule needs at least one tag and no more than 20. |
| Integration returned HTTP 404. on a rule | The tag was probably deleted in Kit. Edit the rule and choose another. |
For anything else, see When an automation fails.
Disconnect Kit
Click Disconnect on the card and confirm. Rules that use Kit stay in place but fail with “Integration is not connected for this workspace.” until you reconnect. Contacts and tags already in Kit aren’t changed.
