Publish and manage a challenge

Publish a challenge, pause sign-ups, change the schedule, add or remove days, handle late joiners, and duplicate or delete a challenge.

Updated View as Markdown

Publishing opens the sign-up page and embedded form. This page covers what you can still change afterwards, and what happens to people who’ve already signed up.

Publish

Choose Publish at the top of the challenge page.

The only requirement is that every day has a working video: one that passed validation with a known length. If any day doesn’t, publishing fails with a message like “Days 2, 3 need a working video before publishing.” Until then, a banner at the top reads “2 days need a video before the challenge can go live. Open a day below to add it.”

Nothing else is checked, so go through this yourself first:

  • Each day has a real Title, not Your title — Day 1.
  • The sign-up page’s label and button suit a challenge. See Sign-up page and hub.
  • The confirmation and reminders are rewritten. See Challenge emails.
  • Your email sending is set up.
  • The first day’s date is still ahead. Publishing doesn’t check.

Afterwards, choose Copy sign-up link to share it, or embed the form. To test, sign up from that link with your own address.

Publishing a challenge is the only way to open its days. The days themselves stay on Draft in the webinar editor, and that’s expected.

Statuses

Status Sign-up page and embedded form Existing attendees
Draft Visitors see This page isn’t available, or Sign-ups aren’t open right now in an embedded form. You can still use Preview Nobody has signed up yet, unless you’ve added someone or tested from the preview
Published Open Hub, rooms and emails all work
Paused Visitors see This page isn’t available, or Sign-ups aren’t open right now in an embedded form. You can still use Preview Hub, rooms and emails keep working

Pause or stop sign-ups

Choose Pause at the top of the page. To reopen, choose Publish.

Pause a challenge when you want to:

  • Stop late sign-ups once it has started.
  • Close sign-ups after the last day. They don’t close by themselves.

When a challenge pauses by itself

If you save a published challenge while any day lacks a working video, it switches to Paused, and the save message reads “Challenge updated. It’s paused because a day needs a working video.” Most often this happens when you add a day.

To fix it, add the missing video and choose Publish again.

Removing a day’s video in that day’s editor doesn’t pause the challenge until the next time you save it, so replace a video rather than removing it.

Change the schedule

Change First day, Daily start, Timezone or Days under Basics, then choose Save changes. You can do this while the challenge is live, as long as nobody has watched.

When someone has watched any day, the first day, start time and time zone are all locked. Saving fails, with this message under Days: “Days with attendance must keep their original schedule and remain in the challenge.” That includes you, if you joined a real session to test it.

When a change is allowed:

  • Every day’s session moves to its new date and time.
  • Reminder and follow-up emails that haven’t gone out move with their day, including Replay available. Any whose new time has already passed send at once. Emails already sent aren’t repeated.
  • Personal hub links and join links stay the same.

Nobody is told automatically, and calendar events people already added don’t update. Email your list and ask them to add the days again from their hub.

Add a day

Raise Days (up to 14) and save. FullHouse creates the new day, schedules it after the current last day, and enrols everyone who’s already signed up, planning its reminders. Anyone who has unsubscribed from the challenge gets no emails for it.

The new day has no video, so a published challenge pauses itself until you add one and publish again. New days also appear in Hub & days after the save.

Remove a day

Lower Days and save. Days are removed from the end.

You can’t remove a day that anyone has watched. Saving fails with the “Days with attendance” message above. This is the only way to remove a day: Delete… on a day’s own webinar opens Manage this day from its challenge instead of deleting it.

Late joiners

Sign-ups stay open until you pause the challenge, so people can join after it starts. Someone joining on Day 3 of 5:

  • Is enrolled in all five days, and their hub shows all five tickets.
  • Sees Days 1 and 2 as finished, with replays if they’re available and Replays in the hub is on.
  • Gets the confirmation straight away, then reminders only for what’s still ahead.
  • Gets no attended or missed follow-up for those finished days. They only get Replay available for a finished day if it’s switched on and that day’s replay is open or will open. See Late joiners.

If your content doesn’t work out of order, pause sign-ups when Day 1 starts. If it does, keep replays open long enough for late joiners to catch up.

Find people and results

There’s no combined challenge report. Results live on each day’s webinar, which you open with Room & video.

Connect a challenge to other tools

Tool What happens
Webhooks registrant.created fires once per person, when they sign up, and describes Day 1. Other events fire per day
Automations Set per day. A challenge sign-up runs each day’s Registers rules once, including for days that have finished. A repeat sign-up doesn’t run them again
Pinball Pinball forms can sign people up for published challenges directly
AI tools over MCP Can list, read, create, update, publish, pause, duplicate and delete challenges

Duplicate a challenge

A challenge runs once. To run it again, choose More actions → Duplicate in the header of the challenge’s page. You’ll see “Challenge duplicated. The copy is a draft with no registrants.”

Copied Not copied
Settings, sign-up page and hub wording, tracking Registrants
The days, and each day’s title, video, timeline, emails and automations Sessions, which start fresh
Automation run counts, which start at zero

The copy is named “(name) (copy)”, starts as a Draft and has a new address. A challenge that hasn’t started yet keeps its dates. If its first day has passed, the copy starts 7 days from today, and you can change that under Basics.

Duplicate on a single day makes a separate webinar outside the challenge, so it can’t be used to copy days between challenges.

Delete a challenge

Choose More actions → Delete… in the header of the challenge’s page. This is only in the challenge’s header, not on the list.

The dialog is titled “Delete (name)?” and shows how many days and people it covers. To confirm, type the challenge’s exact name, then choose Delete challenge, or Keep it to back out. You’ll see “Challenge deleted.”

Videos you uploaded stay in Media. If you want to keep your list, export each day’s registrants first. To stop sign-ups without losing anything, pause it instead.

Troubleshooting

What you see Why What to do
“Days 2, 3 need a working video before publishing.” Those days have no validated video Open the day with Room & video and add one. See Video
The status changed to Paused without you pausing You saved while a day had no working video Add the video and choose Publish
“Days with attendance must keep their original schedule and remain in the challenge.” Someone has watched a day You can no longer change the dates, or remove that day. Create a new challenge if you must move it
The sign-up link shows This page isn’t available The challenge is a draft or paused Choose Publish
A day’s own registration link shows This page isn’t available Days aren’t published separately Share the challenge’s sign-up link
“Publish this day from its challenge so registration stays connected to the challenge hub.” You pressed Publish on a day Publish from the challenge
Someone sees “The live session has passed” They arrived more than 15 minutes after the start See When people can join. Point them to the replay
“Type the challenge’s exact name to delete it.” The name you typed doesn’t match Type it exactly as shown
“This day belongs to a challenge, so manage it from the challenge. Change the number of days there, or delete the whole challenge.” You, or an AI tool, tried to delete one day Remove a day, or delete the challenge
Someone lost their hub link Ask them to sign up again with the same email, which emails it to them. You can also copy their link from a day’s Registrants tab, which gives that day’s room rather than the hub
