# Challenges

A challenge is a run of 2 to 14 daily webinars at the same time each day. Visitors sign up once and are enrolled in every day. Each person gets a personal hub page with a countdown, a ticket for each day and their replays.

Use a challenge when your content builds from one session to the next, such as a 5-day launch sprint that ends with an offer. Use a [webinar](/webinars) when one session stands on its own and you want it to keep running on a schedule.

## How a challenge differs from a webinar

| | Webinar | Challenge |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Runs** | On repeating schedules, specific dates, just-in-time or on demand | Once, on consecutive calendar days at one local time |
| **Sign-up** | The visitor picks a session | The form lists every day. There is nothing to pick |
| **After sign-up** | [Thank-you page](/attendees/thank-you) | Personal hub page |
| **Link in emails** | The person's join link | The person's hub link |
| **Moving a seat** | Attendees can switch to another session | Not available. Everyone attends together |
| **Publishing** | Each webinar on its own | The whole challenge together. Days can't be published alone |
| **Unsubscribing** | One registration | The whole challenge |

## How the pieces fit

A challenge has two levels, and you set up different things at each one.

| Level | What you set here | Where |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **The challenge** | Dates, time, presenter, sign-up page, hub, tracking for the sign-up page and hub, publishing | **Challenges → your challenge** |
| **Each day** | Video, waiting room, timeline, offers, polls, chat, replay and emails | **Room & video** on that day's card |

Each day is a full webinar underneath, so everything in the [webinar set-up guides](/webinars) applies to it. A few webinar steps don't apply to a day. [Set up each day](/challenges/days) lists which ones.

## Find your challenges

Open **Challenges** in the sidebar. Choose **New challenge** to [create one](/challenges/create), or click a row to open it.

| Column | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| **Name** | The internal name. Attendees never see it |
| **Status** | **Draft**, **Published** or **Paused**. See [Publish and manage](/challenges/publish-manage) |
| **Days** | How many days it runs |
| **Starts** | The first day and the daily start time, as you entered them |
| **Registrants** | People who signed up. Each person counts once, however many days there are |
| **Updated** | When the challenge was last changed |

With no challenges yet, the page shows **No challenges yet** and a **Create your first challenge** button.

Challenges also appear under **Webinars & challenges** on your [dashboard](/start/dashboard). Each day appears in your **Webinars** list too, named like `5-Day Launch Challenge — Day 1` with the status **Draft**. That status is normal: a day never gets published by itself.

## Set up a challenge

1. **Create it**

[Choose the name, number of days, first day and time](/challenges/create).
2. **Set up every day**

[Add a video to each day](/challenges/days), then build its room. Every day needs a working video before you can publish.
3. **Write the sign-up page and hub**

[Write the pitch, set up the form, add per-day notes and worksheets, and add your tracking](/challenges/registration-hub).
4. **Check the emails**

[Review what goes out and when](/challenges/emails). The defaults are written for a single session, so they're worth rewriting.
5. **Publish**

[Publish, then copy your sign-up link](/challenges/publish-manage) or [embed the sign-up on your own page](/connect/embed-widget).
