# The attendee experience

This section shows FullHouse from your attendees' side: what they see, what they receive, and what can go wrong. Use it to answer their questions and to check your event reads well from start to finish.

## The journey

1. **They sign up**

Your [registration page](/attendees/registration), or a [popup on your own site](/connect/embed-widget). A webinar asks them to pick a time. A challenge lists its days and enrols them in all of them.
2. **They get their link**

A webinar sends them to a [thank-you page](/attendees/thank-you) holding their personal join link. A challenge sends them to their [personal hub](/challenges/registration-hub#what-attendees-see-on-the-hub). A confirmation email follows.
3. **They get reminders**

Up to three [reminder emails](/attendees/emails-unsubscribe) before each session.
4. **They wait**

Opening their link early shows the [waiting room](/attendees/waiting-room).
5. **They watch**

The [live room](/attendees/live-room) plays your video with chat, polls and offers, at the same point for everyone.
6. **They catch up**

   Afterwards, [follow-up emails](/attendees/emails-unsubscribe) and the [replay](/attendees/replay), while it's open.

## Attendees don't have accounts

Nobody creates a login or password. Each registration gets its own long, random link, and that link is how FullHouse knows who they are.

| Link | Where it goes | Who has it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Registration page** | Your public sign-up page | Anyone. This is the one you share |
| **Join link** | That person's seat in the room | The attendee, in their thank-you page and emails |
| **Thank-you page** | That person's ticket and calendar buttons | The attendee, right after signing up |
| **Replay link** | That person's replay | The attendee, in follow-up emails |
| **Hub link** | That person's challenge home page | The challenge attendee, in every email |
| **Calendar file** | A download with that person's join link inside | The attendee |
| **Unsubscribe link** | Opens a page where they can stop that registration's emails, or the whole challenge's | The attendee, in every email footer |

A personal link isn't tied to a device, so people can open it on their phone and laptop. It isn't tied to a person either, whatever the default email says: if someone forwards it, whoever opens it is counted as the original registrant, under their name. Ask people not to forward it, and to share your registration page instead.

If someone loses their link, they can sign up again with the same email to have it sent to them. See [Already registered](/attendees/registration#someone-registers-twice). You can also copy it from their record under [Registrants](/run/registrants).

## Where the public pages live

You work in `app.meetfullhouse.com`. Everything attendees see lives on a separate, neutral address: `showtell.live`. A webinar's sign-up page looks like `showtell.live/w/your-page`, and a challenge's like `showtell.live/c/your-challenge`.

Copy links with the buttons in FullHouse instead of typing them. Each page's address ends in its own unique text.

### Why the address is different

- **Your brand stays in front.** Attendees see your logo, colours and presenter. The pages don't mention FullHouse, and browser tabs show your event's title.
- **Your tracking is kept away from your account.** [Tracking codes](/webinars/tracking) run only on the public address, never where you log in. When you preview your own page from FullHouse, it opens on the app address with no tracking codes running.
- **Search engines are asked to stay away.** Pages tell search engines not to index them, so don't rely on people finding your registration page through search.

### The ShowTell page

If someone trims a link back to `showtell.live`, they see a general landing page for "ShowTell", a neutral event-hosting name. It says "Live sessions worth showing up for." and tells people to use the personal link in their confirmation email. It doesn't list your events or link to them.

You don't set this page up, and it can't be changed. Your attendees may notice the ShowTell name in the address, and it's fine to tell them it's the service hosting your event.

## How your brand shows

| Setting in [Branding](/workspace/branding) | Where attendees see it |
| --- | --- |
| Brand colour | Buttons and highlights on the sign-up page, thank-you page, hub and room, and in emails |
| Logo or workspace name | At the top of the sign-up page, thank-you page and hub |
| **Show your name or logo on attendee pages** | Turn off to hide that logo or name |
| Legal footer | At the bottom of public pages and every email |

## Times and time zones

Pages show times in the visitor's own time zone, read from their browser. The exception is a webinar with a fixed time zone, whose registration page shows that zone instead, labelled "London time" for example. See [Details](/webinars/details).

Emails use the time zone recorded when the person registered.

## When a link doesn't work

| What they see | Why | What to tell them |
| --- | --- | --- |
| "This link isn't valid" | A personal link is wrong or incomplete, for example if part of it was lost when copying, or that registration no longer exists. It says "It doesn't match a registration." on a hub, thank-you or calendar link | Use the full link from the confirmation email, or register again |
| "This page isn't available" | The registration page or challenge is a draft or paused, or the address is wrong | Publish the event, or send the right link |
| "Sign-ups aren't open right now" | The same, inside an [embedded form](/connect/embed-widget) | Publish the event, or send the right link |
| "Too many attempts" | Too many tries from one network within a minute, or the service is briefly overloaded. It says "Please wait a minute, then try again." and has a **Try again** button | Wait a minute and try again |
| "This session already started" | They arrived too late to join | See [Live room](/attendees/live-room) |

:::note
These pages use your branding when the event is paused or finished, and they don't show any event details. If you pause an event, expect anyone clicking an old link to see one, and consider redirecting your own landing page.
